<p>Welcome to Ako Tahi, which translates to "Learn Together" in Te Reo Māori. Ako Tahi is an educational application specifically tailored to assist individuals in familiarizing themselves with commonly used Te Reo Māori phrases. Through a holistic approach involving tactile, visual, auditory, and verbal learning methods, Ako Tahi encourages users to challenge themselves and engage with others in the learning process.

It is important to clarify that Ako Tahi does not function as a direct translation tool. It offers a selection of pre-defined words and sentences in Te Reo Māori, displaying results only for those present in its database.

All phrases and vocabulary included in the app have undergone validation by fluent speakers of Te Reo Māori. It is worth noting that variations in dialects, word pronunciations, and other regional nuances exist among different communities throughout Aotearoa (New Zealand).

Ngāpuhi, a prominent Māori iwi (tribe) with roots in the Northland region of New Zealand, particularly in Hokianga, the Bay of Islands, and Whangarei, serves as the chosen dialect for Ako Tahi.
